2

About Mzansi Jobs

Mzansi Jobs is an independent South African employment and career platform. Services may include vacancy discovery, job-seeker profiles, job alerts, career guidance, employer dashboards, company profiles, vacancy advertising and CV support.

Mzansi Jobs is not the employer, recruitment agency or representative of every organisation whose vacancy appears on the platform unless this is expressly stated.

3

Eligibility and account registration

You must provide accurate, current and complete information when registering. You may not create an account using another person's identity or create accounts for unlawful, misleading or abusive purposes.

You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may require profile completion, email verification, business verification or other reasonable checks before certain features become available.

4

Job-seeker accounts

Job seekers may browse vacancies, manage profile information, subscribe to alerts and use career resources made available on the platform.

You are responsible for ensuring that qualifications, experience, skills and other career information you provide are truthful and not misleading.

A job-seeker account does not guarantee recommendations, interviews, offers or employment.

5

Employer and recruiter accounts

Employer accounts are intended for legitimate businesses, organisations and recruiters advertising genuine employment opportunities.

Employers must provide truthful company and contact information, maintain authorised access to their accounts and ensure that users posting on behalf of the organisation are permitted to do so.

Employer accounts may be reviewed, restricted or suspended while identity, business details, payment status or vacancy legitimacy is assessed.

6

Company profiles

Company profiles may display business information such as the company name, logo, website, industry, description and location.

Employers grant Mzansi Jobs permission to display submitted company information for operating and promoting the platform and related vacancy listings.

Verification indicators, where used, reflect checks performed by Mzansi Jobs at a particular time and are not a guarantee of future conduct, solvency, employment conditions or hiring outcomes.

7

Vacancy submission rules

Vacancies must:

  • Describe a genuine employment, internship, graduate, trainee or learnership opportunity.
  • Contain accurate company, location and application information.
  • Comply with applicable South African law.
  • Avoid unlawful discrimination, deception or exploitation.
  • Not request unlawful upfront payment as a condition of applying or receiving employment.
  • Not promote pyramid schemes, unlawful opportunities or misleading income claims.
  • Use an authorised and safe application destination.

Employers must remove, archive or update vacancies when they close, expire or materially change.

8

Imported and third-party vacancies

Some vacancies may be supplied through employers, public sources, recruitment feeds or automated integrations.

Imported details may be shortened, reformatted, categorised or updated for platform consistency. Source systems may later change or remove a vacancy without advance notice to Mzansi Jobs.

Users should verify closing dates, requirements and application links through the official employer or source before applying.

9

Applications and hiring decisions

Unless expressly stated otherwise, applications are submitted to external employers or recruitment systems. Mzansi Jobs does not control their recruitment processes.

Employers remain responsible for screening, communication, interviews, offers, background checks, employment contracts and compliance with employment law.

Mzansi Jobs does not guarantee that an application will be received, reviewed, shortlisted or successful.

10

Paid employer services, pricing and refunds

Paid services may include standard listings, featured placement, recruiter packages, campaign support or other advertising services.

The price, listing period, included features, payment method and scope of work will be those confirmed before payment. Prices may change for future orders.

Payment does not guarantee applications, interviews or a successful hire. Visibility may vary according to vacancy demand, timing, category, location and platform traffic.

Cancellation and refund requests will be considered according to the confirmed service, work already performed and applicable law. Any non-refundable limitation will apply only to the extent legally permitted.

11

CV help and career-support services

CV formatting, rewriting, cover-letter assistance and related services are based on information supplied by the customer.

Customers remain responsible for checking the accuracy of names, dates, qualifications, employment history and other personal information before using the final documents.

Career-support services do not guarantee interviews, employment, salary outcomes or acceptance by an applicant tracking system.

12

User content and licence

You retain ownership of content you lawfully submit, subject to rights belonging to third parties.

You grant Mzansi Jobs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display and distribute submitted content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve and promote the relevant platform service.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit company logos, vacancy descriptions, images and other content.

13

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use the platform for fraud, scams, harassment or unlawful activity.
  • Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data.
  • Introduce malware or interfere with platform operation.
  • Scrape, copy or harvest data in violation of law or these terms.
  • Send spam or misuse contact, feedback or reporting tools.
  • Impersonate another person, employer or organisation.
  • Manipulate views, clicks, feedback or platform metrics.
14

Review, moderation and removal

Mzansi Jobs may review, edit, reject, unpublish, archive or remove content that appears expired, inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, abusive or inconsistent with these terms.

We may request supporting information from employers and may suspend publication while a vacancy or company is reviewed.

Moderation does not mean that every listing or user has been independently verified.

15

Intellectual property

Mzansi Jobs branding, software, original design, written content and platform materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

You may use publicly available content for ordinary personal job-search purposes, but may not reproduce, republish, commercialise or create competing datasets from substantial platform content without permission.

Employer names, logos and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.

16

Privacy and personal information

Personal information is processed as described in the Mzansi Jobs Privacy Policy.

Employers receiving applications independently are responsible for handling applicant information lawfully and securely.

Read the Privacy Policy
17

Platform availability and changes

We may update, suspend, restrict or discontinue features, routes, integrations or services for maintenance, security, legal, commercial or operational reasons.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent storage of content or continued availability of any external link or integration.

18

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the platform and its content are provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees that every listing is complete, current, error-free or suitable for a particular user.

Career articles and support materials provide general information and are not legal, financial, tax, immigration or professional recruitment advice.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

19

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mzansi Jobs will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from external recruitment decisions, missed opportunities, inaccurate third-party content, account misuse or interruptions outside our reasonable control.

Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded will be limited only to the extent permitted by law. Consumer rights under applicable legislation remain unaffected.

20

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses or reasonable costs resulting from your unlawful use of the platform, breach of these terms, or infringement of another person's rights.

21

Account suspension and termination

You may stop using the platform at any time. Account-deletion requests may be submitted through the available account or contact process.

Mzansi Jobs may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of fraud, abuse, security risk, legal obligations, non-payment, repeated policy breaches or harmful conduct.

Terms that by their nature should continue after termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers and liability provisions, will remain effective.

22

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms when services, features, prices, laws or business practices change. The revised version will be published with an updated effective date.

Continued use after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance, subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

23

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Before starting formal proceedings, users are encouraged to contact Mzansi Jobs and attempt to resolve the matter in good faith. This does not prevent a person from using any regulatory, consumer or legal remedy available to them.
