Raubex Infra is currently recruiting an experienced **Surveyor** to join its operations team in Soutpan, Free State. About the Role The successful candidate will report directly to the Construction Manager and will be responsible for conducting site surveying activities to ensure construction work complies with design specifications, quality standards, and project requirements. This opportunity is ideal for experienced surveying professionals with strong technical knowledge, practical site experience, and expertise in civil construction projects. Key Responsibilities * Conduct detailed land and site surveys. * Perform topographic mapping and construction staking. * Set out and survey transmission line routes. * Establish tower positions, line alignments, and centre lines. * Set out powerline foundations and related infrastructure. * Interpret engineering drawings, profiles, and survey data. * Operate GPS systems, dumpy levels, total stations, and survey instruments. * Process survey information and prepare survey reports. * Maintain accurate survey records and documentation. * Collaborate with engineers and site management teams. * Ensure all surveying work complies with project specifications and quality requirements. Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet the following requirements: * Degree, National Diploma, B.Tech, or Certificate in Surveying. * Minimum of 5 years' site-based surveying experience within the civil construction industry. * Strong computer literacy skills. * Experience using Model Maker and AutoCAD. * Ability to operate GPS systems and dumpy levels (Trimble experience advantageous). * Good understanding of LO and WGS coordinate systems. * Excellent attention to detail. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Self-driven and disciplined work ethic. * South African citizenship. Advantageous Experience Candidates with experience in the following areas will have an added advantage: * Road construction projects. * Infrastructure development projects. * Transmission powerline construction projects. * Renewable energy projects.
