About the role
Capitec Bank is seeking a UX Designer to create and enhance world-class digital experiences across its platforms. This role focuses on translating business and user needs into intuitive, visually engaging, and functional designs that align with Capitec’s brand and customer-first approach. 🎯 Key Responsibilities Design and deliver user-centric digital experiences across platforms Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and usability testing Translate research insights into UX requirements and design solutions Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive designs Collaborate with product, business, and development teams Align design outputs with business strategy and customer needs Continuously improve user experience through testing and iteration Present and defend design decisions using data and research 🧠 Skills & Technical Expertise Strong UX design principles and best practices Proficiency in Figma and design tools (Adobe Suite advantageous) Wireframing and prototyping skills Understanding of layout, typography, colour theory, and visual hierarchy Ability to translate business requirements into design solutions Knowledge of usability testing and research methods Basic understanding of analytics and data-driven design 💡 Advantageous Experience in financial services / banking Background in creative design or visual design Knowledge of psychology, behavioural science, or CX principles Exposure to analytics tools
