AI Strategist – GenAI Advisory & Talent

iqbusiness is hiring a Senior AI Strategist to join its GenAI Advisory & Talent team in Johannesburg. This role focuses on helping organisations turn Generative AI (GenAI) strategy into real business value. The successful candidate will work with executives to design AI strategies, operating models, governance frameworks, and implementation roadmaps. The role is client-facing and strategic, focusing on AI adoption, governance, and business transformation rather than coding. Key Responsibilities GenAI Strategy & Vision Develop GenAI strategies aligned with business goals Define AI vision, roadmaps, and value initiatives Identify quick wins and scalable AI opportunities Executive Advisory Conduct GenAI education sessions for leadership teams Translate complex AI concepts into business value Use Case Development Identify and prioritise AI use cases Develop business cases and implementation plans Governance & Responsible AI Design AI governance frameworks Ensure secure and responsible AI practices AI Solution Development Support Collaborate with data, engineering, and product teams Guide the end-to-end lifecycle of GenAI solutions Change Management Develop AI adoption and communication plans Lead structured organisational change programmes
