About the role
De Beers Group is offering Engineering Learnerships (18.2 & 18.1) at Venetia Mine. This structured programme combines theoretical training + on-the-job experience, leading to qualification as an Artisan. 🔧 Available Trades Applicants can apply for: Boilermaker Instrument Mechanician Electrician Fitter & Turner Diesel Mechanic Auto Electrician Rigger 🧾 What You’ll Do Complete formal engineering training (QCTO programme) Gain practical experience at Venetia Mine Work towards becoming a qualified Artisan Participate in technical and safety training 🧠 Skills Needed Technical & problem-solving skills Ability to read engineering drawings Communication skills Teamwork & independence 🎁 What You’ll Get 4-year structured learnership Formal + practical training Industry-recognised qualification Work experience in mining
Requirements
- ✔ Education:
- Grade 12 with:
- Mathematics (NOT Maths Literacy)
- Physical Science
- English (40%+)
- OR
- N2 (relevant trade subjects)
- NCV Level 3 (relevant subjects)
- 📋 Additional Requirements
- Able to travel (training in Randfontein)
- Medically fit (Red Ticket required)
- Pass background checks & assessments
- Provide proof of residence (local municipality letter)
