About the role
Unilever is looking for an experienced Electrical Specialist to join its manufacturing team in Boksburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical assets within a high-volume manufacturing environment while supporting maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities *Maintain and support electrical systems for production and packaging equipment. *Perform repairs, overhauls, and preventative maintenance activities. *Troubleshoot electrical faults and reduce equipment downtime. *Support plant shutdown maintenance and emergency repairs. *Develop and maintain maintenance standards and procedures. *Coach and develop maintenance staff on electrical engineering skills. *Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. *Monitor spare parts inventory and maintenance documentation. *Participate in continuous improvement and project activities. *Support PLC/DCS troubleshooting and electrical installations. Skills and Competencies *Electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting. *Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems. *Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. *Excellent communication and teamwork skills. *Ability to work shifts and provide standby support when required. *Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
