Key Responsibilities As a Maintenance Assistant, your responsibilities will include: * Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and installations. * Carry out plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, and basic welding tasks. * Inspect facilities and equipment to identify faults and potential risks. * Troubleshoot and repair doors, windows, ceilings, fixtures, and appliances. * Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise equipment breakdowns. * Install furniture, fixtures, and small equipment. * Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. * Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. * Keep work areas clean, safe, and organised. * Coordinate with contractors for specialised repair work. * Assist with maintenance planning, scoping activities, and preparing bills of materials. Minimum Requirements Applicants should meet the following requirements: * Trade Certificate in **Bricklaying, Plumbing, Carpentry**, or a related trade. * Proven experience as a Handyman or Maintenance Assistant. * Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment. * Valid driver's licence. * Valid forklift licence will be advantageous. * Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards.
