🗓️Closing Date 29 April 2026 💰 Salary R650,000 – R820,000 per annum National Nuclear Regulator is seeking a skilled Analyst: NPP Assessments to conduct technical reviews and regulatory assessments within the nuclear energy sector. This role focuses on areas such as seismology, civil structures, emergency preparedness, and transport safety, ensuring compliance with national and international nuclear safety standards. 🎯 Key Responsibilities Conduct technical assessments and reviews of nuclear-related submissions Analyse structural integrity, safety systems, and compliance requirements Support maintenance oversight and waste management infrastructure Contribute to development of regulatory standards and guidelines Participate in audits, inspections, and emergency exercises Engage with stakeholders and represent the organisation in forums Mentor interns and support knowledge development 🧠 Technical Knowledge Nuclear regulatory legislation (South Africa) Engineering codes and standards (ASME, SANS, SABS, RCCM) Nuclear plant licensing systems (SAR, KSSR, OTS) Design principles and plant configuration control Engineering change processes and safety compliance 🧩 Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to work in a high-pressure regulatory environment Teamwork and stakeholder engagement Leadership and mentoring ability ⚠️ Additional Information Preference will be given to candidates from under-represented groups in line with Employment Equity
