Company:DHL Supply Chain South Africa Position:General Worker Job Type:Permanent (Full-Time) Location: Kempton Park, Gauteng, South Africa Reference Number:AV-360428 Job Purpose The General Worker will provide operational support within the warehouse by performing manual and routine tasks that contribute to efficient day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will assist with receiving stock, pallet management, housekeeping, and general warehouse activities while maintaining safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities * Receive instructions from the Warehouse Supervisor regarding truck offloading activities. * Offload goods and de-stack pallets according to operational requirements. * Ensure pallets are stacked correctly according to batch codes and expiry dates. * Identify damaged stock and report it immediately to the Inbound Checker. * Ensure all handball stock is properly shrink-wrapped and secured. * Maintain housekeeping standards within the warehouse. * Assist other operational departments when required. * Follow all safety procedures and warehouse regulations. Minimum Requirements Education * Grade 12 / Matric (Essential) Language Requirements * Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) Skills and Attributes * Good attention to detail * Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment * Team player with a positive attitude * Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks * Ability to follow instructions accurately * Strong commitment to workplace safety * Reliable and punctual Location This position is based in Kempton Park, Gauteng, one of South Africa's key logistics and distribution hubs.
