Required Competencies Successful candidates should possess: * Good communication skills * Ability to work with learners * Patience and compassion * Teamwork and interpersonal skills Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidates will be responsible for: * Supervising the work of housekeepers. * Ensuring the safety and well-being of learners in hostels. * Supporting and mentoring learners. * Enforcing hostel rules and promoting positive behaviour. * Accompanying learners for medical treatment when required. * Supervising hostel cleanliness and hygiene. * Assisting learners to prepare for school each day. * Helping to serve meals and feeding learners who are unable to feed themselves. * Administering medication as prescribed by medical practitioners. * Assisting younger learners or learners with disabilities with bathing and personal care. * Assisting learners with schoolwork. * Changing nappies for learners who require assistance. * Acting **in loco parentis** (in the place of a parent). * Working shifts, including day and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
